Learning and Talent Management Report 2011

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s annual survey report Learning and Talent Development 2011 is now available for download.  The report provides a useful insight into the main trends in learning and development across the United Kingdom.

The report finds that 86% of organisations are using coaching as part of their learning portfolio.  Its primary objectives are most often performance management, preparing and supporting people in leadership roles and supporting learning and development.

In two-fifths of organisations, line managers have the main responsibility for delivering coaching.  Internal coaches have the main responsibility in a third of organisations, while for one-fifth it lies with external consultants.
