Sherpa 2010 Executive Coaching Survey published

The Sherpa 2010 Executive Coaching Survey has been published and is available for download here: http://www.sherpacoaching.com/surveyfp.html.

One of the areas the Survey reports on is calculating the return on investment for executive coaching.  Shockingly, the Survey reports that 87% of HR professionals and coaching clients see the value of executive coaching as ‘somewhat high’ or ‘very high’.  So, they see the value.  However, 82% do not have any prescribed process to measure that value!

So, less than 20% of HR professionals are bothering to check whether the money they are spending on coaching is worth the investment!  Is it any surprise that coaching is still looked upon with suspicion, or as merely a remedial development option, in some quarters?

Our goal at Bullseye Coaching is to make a significant impact on this statistic for future Surveys.  The tools to calculate the return on investment from coaching are available and easily accessible from this site.  As the battle for corporate resources hots up further again during 2010 and 2011, it will be those HR professionals and learning and development providers who can prove that what they do adds considerably more value than it costs who will triumph and continue to prosper.
